Signature heat insulation pad
A heat insulation pad (removable insulation jacket) wraps a hot surface such as an exhaust pipe, valve or turbine casing. It cuts heat loss, keeps the area cooler and protects people from burns, and it can be taken off for maintenance and refitted. Signature pads are made to size from E-glass fibre with an aluminium foil or silicone outer, in three layers: inner, insulation and protective.
Where it is used
DG set and engine exhausts, gas turbines, heat exchangers, steam valves and flanges, and moulding machines.
