HDFIRE Alarm Valve Model-H acts as a check valve by trapping pressurized water above the clapper and preventing reverse flow from sprinkler piping. It is used to actuate a fire alarm during flow of water from the sprinkler system. Alarm Valve is UL Listed and FM Approved. The Alarm Valve Model H is a specialized type of valve used in fire protection systems, specifically in wet pipe sprinkler systems. Its primary function is to detect and respond to water flow within the system, signaling the presence of a fire to the building occupants and emergency responders. The Alarm Valve Model H is typically installed on the main water supply line feeding the sprinkler system. It features a unique design that incorporates both a water motor alarm and a clapper-type alarm mechanism. When water flow occurs due to the activation of one or more sprinkler heads, the water motor alarm initiates a distinctive pulsating sound, providing an audible alert of the fire event. In addition to the audible alarm, the Alarm Valve Model H may also include ports for connecting to auxiliary alarm devices, such as visual strobes or remote monitoring systems. This allows for enhanced notification capabilities and integration with broader building management systems.
