Hochiki intrinsically safe detectors for hazardous (flammable gas or dust) areas: SLR-E-IS and SLR-E-IS-SIL photoelectric smoke, DCD-1E-IS and DCD-1E-IS-SIL heat, and an FT 60°C rate of rise heat detector.

Hochiki intrinsically safe detectors

In refineries, paint shops, chemical stores and other hazardous areas, field devices must be intrinsically safe so they cannot ignite gas or dust. Hochiki IS detectors are wired through a safety barrier or an IS interface module.
