Types of foam equipment
- Foam making branch pipe: fits on a fire hose and has a built-in inductor with a pick-up tube that draws foam concentrate from a can. NewAge FB5X (225 LPM) and FB10X (450 LPM), for oil and fuel fires.
- Medium expansion foam generator: AAAG MX range in SS-316 stainless steel with inline inductor and pick-up tube: portable MX225 (225 LPM) and MX450 (450 LPM), and the fixed MX600 foam pourer (600 LPM).
- High expansion foam generator: AAAG SS304 generator with a 63 mm male instantaneous inlet, to fill large closed spaces such as basements, warehouses, cable tunnels and hangars with foam.
- Mobile foam unit: AAAG wheeled FRP foam tank with inline inductor and foam making branch pipe, in 100 L (MFT100-F), 150 L (MFT150-F) and 200 L (MFT200-F).
How to choose foam equipment
- Risk: branch pipes and mobile units suit spill fires of fuel and oil. Medium expansion builds a thicker blanket over bunds and pits. High expansion fills a whole enclosed space.
- Flow: the LPM figure (maker's rating) must match the water your hydrant line or pump can give at that point.
- Portable or fixed: portable units move to the fire; the MX600 foam pourer is fixed in place.
- Foam supply: a mobile unit carries its own tank. Branch pipes and generators draw concentrate from a can or drum through the pick-up tube.
Foam equipment works only with the right foam concentrate and enough water flow at the right pressure, so plan the hydrant point, hose length and foam stock together. After use, flush the branch pipe, inductor or generator with clean water so foam does not dry inside, and keep the pick-up tube clean and ready.
For bigger throws on tank farms, see water and foam monitors. For small first-response units, see foam fire extinguishers.
Foam equipment price in India
The price of foam equipment depends on the type, flow rate, tank size, material and model. Each product on this page shows a starting price as a guide, before GST. The final price comes with your quote and depends on the options and quantity. For projects, ask for bulk pricing.
