Safex ABC fire extinguisher
The ABC fire extinguisher is the most widely used extinguisher: one unit covers fires of wood, paper and cloth (class A), flammable liquids (class B) and gases (class C). Safex stored pressure models keep the powder and the propellant in one body, with a pressure gauge so you can see at a glance that the unit is ready.
Which size?
1 kg and 2 kg: cars, homes, pantries and small shops.
4 kg: offices, corridors and small workshops.
6 kg: the usual size for factories, warehouses and commercial buildings.
9 kg: bigger risks such as stores, plant rooms and loading areas.
To use: pull the safety pin, aim at the base of the fire from 3 to 5 metres and squeeze the handle; a full discharge lasts about 8 to 12 seconds depending on size.

Which size do I need?
6 kg is the usual choice for factories and commercial buildings, 4 kg for offices, and 1 or 2 kg for vehicles and small spaces.

Yes. Get extinguishers checked regularly, refilled after any use and serviced as per the maker’s schedule. Ask us for refilling and servicing support.
