Tyco TY-B standard response sprinkler
The Tyco TY-B is a standard response glass bulb sprinkler for light and ordinary hazard buildings: offices, banks, hotels, malls and warehouses. When the heat of a fire bursts the bulb, the sprinkler opens and sprays water over the area below. Tyco TY-B heads have a chrome finish.
Which one?
Pendent: hangs down below a false ceiling.
Upright: points up from exposed pipes in warehouses, parking and plant rooms.
Horizontal sidewall: fixed on a wall, throws water across corridors and rooms.
1/2″ K80 or 3/4″ K115: the K-factor sets the flow; K115 gives more water for higher hazards.
57°C, 68°C or 79°C: 68°C is the usual rating; 57°C for cool areas, 79°C near heat sources.
