The branch pipe is the part the firefighter holds at the end of the hose. It joins to the 63 mm hose coupling and narrows the flow through the nozzle into a strong jet that reaches the fire from a safe distance. Armorfire makes it in three metals, all with a 20 mm nozzle:
Aluminium: light and low cost. A good choice for hose boxes in buildings.
Gun metal: heavier and very durable, does not rust. For industrial sites and heavy use.
Stainless steel: durable and corrosion resistant, for coastal, chemical and food sites.
