A silicone coated fire blanket is fiberglass cloth with a silicone rubber coating. The coating makes it smooth to handle, stops glass fibres from shedding, and sheds sparks, spatter, oil and water. Signature silicone coated blankets are used as welding curtains and covers, and as fire blankets where a cleaner surface is wanted.
