Kanex kitchen (K class) fire extinguisher

A burning fryer is one of the most dangerous fires: water makes it explode, and powder often lets it flare up again. A K class wet chemical extinguisher sprays a fine mist that cools the oil and forms a soapy layer on top, so the fire stays out. Kanex kitchen models have a polished stainless steel body and a controlled discharge nozzle.

Why not use a normal extinguisher on a kitchen fire?

Water on burning oil causes a fireball, and powder may not stop the oil re-igniting. Wet chemical cools the oil and seals the surface.

Do extinguishers need refilling?

Yes. Get extinguishers checked regularly, refilled after any use and serviced as per the maker’s schedule. Ask us for refilling and servicing support.
