Normex ball type check valve
A ball type check valve (NRV) has a rubber-coated ball instead of a disc. Flow lifts the ball out of the way; when the pump stops, the ball rolls back and seals. With no hinge or spring to jam, it suits dirty water, sewage and slurry as well as clean water. Normex valves are flanged, from 50 to 300 mm.
Where it is used
Pump delivery lines (fire, booster, sewage and drainage pumps), sump and STP pumps, and water mains.
